The National Laser Symposium 2002 (NLS-2002) will be jointly organized by Centre for Advanced Technology (CAT), Indore, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Science & Technology (SCTIMST) and Department of Optoelectronics, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram at the above stated venue and dates. The NLS – 2002 is being sponsored by the Department of Atomic Energy – Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences ( DAE-BRNS). The objectives of this meet are to provide a forum for professional interaction and dissemination of information on recent developments in the frontline areas of lasers and related topics amongst the researchers, teachers and students active in the field. To meet these objectives deliberations of the symposium will include plenary talks on state of the art, invited and contributed presentations by leading experts and young researchers and thesis presentations. Indian Laser Association (ILA) will organize short tutorial courses preceding the symposium. ILA will also organize a technical exhibition and hold its general body meeting during this symposium.
